A waste disposal kit for use with bedpans and commodes, comprising a containment bag and a collection bag, wherein the containment and collection bags are comprised of a biodegradable plastic film, and wherein the containment bag contains a blend of a super-absorbent polymer, a deodorizer, and a decay catalyst. In an alternate embodiment, the containment bag is used without the collection bag.
