A method of releasing an ongoing communication session for a telecommunication device in a communication system comprising a wireless first communication system comprising a wireless radio access network and a core network and a second communcation system comprising a network controller that provides access to the core network. A Transmission Control Protocol over Internet Protocol, TCP/IP, connection is established between the telecommunication device and the network controller. A communication session is established between the telecommunication device and the wireless first communcation system via the network controller. A release message is received from the network controller over the TCP/IP connection to command the telecommunication device to release the session between the telecommunication device and the network controller. The session is released between the telecommunication device and the network controller.
