PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top panel useful as the top panel of a leg-folding table, using an alternative material substituting a melamine resin decorative layer, having such surface strength and shape retainability as durable for the practical use, having high recycling characteristics, lightweight, and easy to handle. SOLUTION: The top panel comprises a wooden base material, a decorative sheet with the topmost surface layer made of an ionized radiation curable resin layer on the front surface of the wooden base material, and a damp-proof sheet attached to the rear surface of the wooden base material. The top panel has the followings: (1) the wooden base material comprises a mold frame and front and rear surface materials attached to the front and rear surfaces of the mold frame, and at least part of the inside of the wooden base material enclosed by these materials is an air layer; and (2) the front and rear surface materials are wooden plywood and/or medium-density fiber panels.
