METHOD FOR IMPROVING GLUCOSE METABOLISM, SATIETY AND NUTRITION ABSORPTION OF COMPANION ANIMAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for giving animals feed which changes function and tissue of animal gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and large lymphatic organs, and improves glucose metabolism, satiety and nutrition absorption.

SOLUTION: This method comprises for instance, giving companion animals such as dogs and cats feed of a pet food composition which contains fermentative fiber in which fermentative fiber having 15-60% of organic substance elimination in the case of fermenting for 24 h with excrement bacteria exists at about 1-11 wt.% of supplementary total dietary fiber. The feed is given to the animals for enough time to let the fermentative fiber ferment in GIT of the animals.
