<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-ray irradiation device in which, in the light irradiation device to cool a light source part by circulation cooling air, the portion heated by the cooling air increased in temperature is not exposed to the outside, and the device is not made large in size, and the floor area occupied by the device can be made small. <P>SOLUTION: The light source part 1 having a lamp 1a and a reflecting mirror 1b, a blower 3, and a cooling unit 2 to cool cooling air are installed in a case 6 having a light transmission window. The cooling air sent from the blower 3 is introduced into the light source part 1 passing through a ventilation passage formed between the above light source part 1 and the case 6, cools the lamp 1a and the reflecting mirror 1b, and is introduced into the cooling unit 2 through a cooling air passing hole 1c provided at the reflecting mirror 1b.
