<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling and packaging machine with a sealing device which surely detects the biting of even a very small foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: This filling and packaging machine is provided with: a fixed seal bar 60; a movable seal bar 62; a support member 64 for supporting and moving the movable seal bar between a seal position and a release position; a joining mechanism for joining the movable seal bar relative to the support member so that the movable seal bar moves reciprocally relative to the fixed bar at the seal position; amplifying mechanisms 100, 102, 104 for mechanically amplifying the receding amount of the movable seal bar relative to the fixed seal bar at the seal position; a receding amount detecting means 110 for detecting the receding amount amplified by the amplifying mechanisms; and a bite detection means 112 for detecting a foreign matter biting into the fixed seal bar and the movable seal bar. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
