PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording method suitable for a real time recording and also capable of suppressing data segmentation.

SOLUTION: When moving image photographing is started, a logical address AO of a first layer is accessed to record moving image data toward the outer peripheral direction of an optical disk 2 from the logical address AO. When a shutter button of a still picture is depressed during the moving image photographing, a recording is ended at a logical address BO to record still picture data so that the recording starts at a logical address BO1. When the shutter button of the still picture is depressed again, the recording is ended at the BO1 to record the still picture data so that the recording starts at a logical address BO2. When the moving image data are recorded up to the start address BO2 of the still picture data, a next recording unit is accessed.
