PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of executing enlargement/contraction processing at an arbitrary magnification by performing sequential processings to line data scanned in a main scanning direction of the image in accordance with speed of data supply. SOLUTION: The image processor includes: a data supply node for supplying the line data scanned in the main scanning direction of the image; an image enlargement unit which is connected to the data supply node and generates the enlarged data to an output node by applying enlargement processing for enlarging an image at magnification of integer times to the line data; and an image contraction unit which is connected to the output node of the image enlargement unit and generates contraction data to the output node by applying contraction processing for contracting the enlarged image at a desired contraction rate to the enlarged data.
