PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize effective vehicle control in accordance with road conditions. SOLUTION: The vehicle control device detects an absolute position of a vehicle based on respective detection signals from a GPS sensor, a gyroscopic sensor, and a car speed sensor and carries out a map matching processing for correcting the absolute position to match a position of a road map which map data represents as well as a conventional navigation device when the vehicle is traveling at ordinary points. When the vehicle is traveling at specified points, the vehicle control device carries out a processing in which locus position information of the vehicle based on the detected absolute position is stored separately from the map data. Specifically, when the locus position information on the specified points during traveling has already been stored, optical axis control in accordance with a running locus which the locus position information represents is performed in a light control part by outputting the information to the light control part.
