PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device designed to perform accurate reproduction by restoring not only AV data but also jitters even when the jitters are contained in a clock signal transmitted from an information providing apparatus. SOLUTION: A control part uses an over-sampling clock signal generated by a clock signal generator for synchronization, and records also a clock signal generated by the clock signal generator of an information providing apparatus as data. A reproducing signal generating part processes the AV data to generate an analog reproducing signal on the basis of the input clock signal, and outputs the reproduced video signal or the reproduced audio signal to the outside of the apparatus main body. For example, a monitor and a loudspeaker are connected to the outside. Thus, in the outside of the apparatus main body, reproduction of an accurate video or audio where not only the AV data but also jitters are restored. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
