PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which responds to a battery with less capacity even when the battery is used, and also to provide an imaging method and a recording medium which records a program for making a computer execute the method. SOLUTION: Since the imaging apparatus is constituted so as to detect blurring of an input image, to detect a type of the battery, and to switch a mode to a first blurring correction mode for always correcting the blurring at standby for photography or a second blurring correction mode for correcting the blurring only at the start of photography according to the type of the battery, battery life is extended and the imaging apparatus responds to the battery even when the battery with less capacity is used.
