PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus with a recycling system, which prevents a defect in printed matter and the destruction of a recording head due to idle ejection by suppressing the anticipated gathering of mold in recycled ink, preventing the clogging of a filter and a head, and keeping the circulation of the ink in a normal state. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet irradiation lamp is provided in a sub-tank in which the ink ejected from the recording head in a recovery operation is to be recovered and temporarily stored, or in a cap mechanism of a recording head recovery system, so as to perform sterilization according to need.
