PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle diagnostic system capable of storing a lot of diagnostic data with higher reliability even if a built-in data memory has restrictions on capacity. SOLUTION: An engine controller 110 includes a data memory 111 for storing freeze frame data which shows the operating conditions of on-vehicle equipment when the failure of the on-vehicle equipment is detected. The engine controller 110 retracts the freeze frame data stored in the data memory 111 into a storage device 201 in a control center 200 outside a vehicle in radio communication. Further, the engine controller 110 determines correctness of the communication and performs memory operation for deleting the freeze frame data from the data memory 111 under the determination that the communication has correctly carried out.
