PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a parking brake, especially for a wheelchair. SOLUTION: The brake has a pressing element 10 to be connected to a holding member via a pivoted lever 8. The pressing element is pivoted to a fixing position by the pivoting of a hand brake lever 7. At the fixing position, the pressing element 10 abuts against a tire 2 in a force impinging manner. An element for impinging restoring force is set in a pre-stressed condition.
