PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for a gutter capable of reliably connecting eaves gutter and/or leader together at the joint even though a diameter of a chute at a leader head, elbow or leader is slightly larger or smaller. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin joint J1 for the gutter is equipped with a cylindrical connecting socket 1 and a cylindrical connecting spigot 2. The connecting socket 1 has a club-shaped small tip portion having a small taper; this joint has linking projections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d on outer peripheral surfaces of a tip portion and a middle portion of the connecting socket 1; and an expanding slot 2a or a V-shaped notch is preferably formed on the connecting spigot 2. When the chute of the leader head is large, the joint for eaves gutter should be used as it is thereby installing the joint for eaves gutter by outer fitting; if the chute is small, the tip side of the connecting socket 1 should be cut off and then be connected to the chute by outer fitting; if the leader or the like is big, then the connecting spigot 2 should be connected as it is; and if the leader or the like is small, then the diameter of the connecting spigot 2 should be decreased by an expanding slot 2a or a V-shaped notch and then the spigot should be inserted for connecting them together.
