Disclosed is an internal combustion engine component ( 1 ) comprising at least one area ( 4 ) that is subject to a greater thermal load then another area ( 5 ) during operation of the internal combustion engine. The area ( 4 ) that is subjected to a greater thermal load is provided with a lower heat expansion coefficient (alpha₂) then the area ( 5 ) which is subject to a lower thermal load.
