The connecting link for a geo-grid, to prevent ground and embankment erosion, is a one-piece V-shaped wire grid unit (1) with a ground leg (2) and an embankment leg (3). The longitudinal rods (5) have a bulge (6), between the lateral rods (4) at the end of the ground leg. A locking rod (7) is inserted into the bulges projecting through the grid openings. The ground and embankment legs have hooks (8) at one end and are held apart by spacers (9).
