The jig, for portable or fixed use, holds and guides a chainsaw (or other cutting device) when cutting-off lengths of square or rectangular wood. The wood is cut in any required plane with the help of two angular adjusters (1, 2) with axes at right angles to each other. The jig is made of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, die cast aluminum, plastic or composites. Guidance is provided by bolts (5) screwed onto the chainsaw guide. Angular scales (7) are included. The jig is easily adapted to cut round sections of wood.
