PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure higher security by reducing the leakage risk of user ID and password. SOLUTION: An authentication system has a first reception means for receiving from a first terminal 1 a password request including terminal identification information of the first terminal, a password generation means for generating a onetime password for the terminal identification information and storing the generated onetime password in an authentication table in association with the terminal identification information, a password sending means for sending the generated onetime password to the first terminal, a second reception means for receiving from a second terminal 2 a login request including a user ID and a onetime password, and an authentication means for determining whether or not the received onetime password matches the onetime password in association with the user ID stored in the authentication table, and if the onetime passwords match, sending a successful authentication message including the user ID to a business server 5.
