PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of processing images depending on sharpness/speed of the image whose individual users desire in priority, by preparing a plurality of scanning modes and switching these modes according to user's setting. SOLUTION: There is provided the image forming device, such as copying machine or the like, for color-scanning a color image using RGB sequential lightening scanning by a CIS sensor. In the image forming device, the plurality of the scanning modes is included and, when forming an image with certain output resolution desired, image can be formed from the plurality of the scanning modes.
