PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of treating the same or similar scenes as similar objects. SOLUTION: A recording apparatus disclosed herein includes: a feature quantity detection means 12 for detecting a feature quantity as to an information signal to be recorded; a delimiter detection means 13 for detecting delimiters of information signals by using the feature quantity detected by the feature quantity detection means 12; a feature quantity storage means 15 for storing the feature quantity detected by the feature quantity detection means 12 by each segmentation interval particularized by adjacent delimiters detected by the delimiter detection means 13; and an identifier providing means 14 for providing an identifier to each segmentation interval by using the feature quantity stored in the feature quantity storage means 15 in a way of providing the same identifier to the feature quantities the same as or close to each other. The delimiter information detected by the delimiter detection means 13, the identifier provided by the feature quantity storage means 15, and an information signal recorded on a recording medium by each segmentation internal are recorded in cross reference with each other.
