PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of inhibiting drop of valve close characteristics of a control valve performing pressure control of a pressure control chamber. SOLUTION: A housing 1 is provided with a nozzle chamber 31 having an injection hole 28 formed thereon and pressurized fuel supplied therein, a nozzle valve control chamber 32 applying control pressure on the nozzle valve 60 opening and closing the injection hole 28, an intermediate valve chamber 41 storing an intermediate valve 70 switching communication and shut-off between the nozzle valve control chamber 32 and a low pressure source, an intermediate valve control chamber 42 applying control pressure on the intermediate valve 70, a control valve chamber 51 storing a control valve 81 driven by an actuator 80 and switching communication and shut-off between the intermediate valve control chamber 42 and the low pressure source, a first discharge passages 20, 22 discharging fuel in the nozzle valve control chamber 32 to the low pressure source, and second discharge passages 24, 26 discharging fuel in the intermediate valve control chamber 42 to the low pressure source. The first discharge passages 20, 22 and the second discharge passages 24, 26 are formed independently in an axial direction in a cross section of the actuator 80. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
