PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide side ditch equipment for drainage, which can be easily and efficiently constructed without the use of a heavyweight U-shaped gutter or a form to be removed. SOLUTION: A drainage canal is constituted as follows: a base plate 2 made of a metal plate is installed on a foundation 1; and a trough 7 made of a metal plate and a side ditch frame 8 are provided on the base plate 2 via a bolt 5 as a height adjusting mechanism. The bolt 5 is screwed into a supporting nut 21 for supporting the trough 7 and the side ditch frame 8, and a nut 22 for fastening them. In construction, the heights of the trough 7 and the side ditch frame 8 are adjusted by rotating the nut 21, and the trough 7 and the side ditch frame 8 are fastened by the nut 22 after the adjustment of the heights.
