PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device capable of improving processing speed and effectively utilizing memory capacity by making resident only an application program corresponding to an extended device with the possibility of use. SOLUTION: In this mobile terminal device 100, an application/resident switching means 101 refers to the corresponding relation between the classification of various extended devices and the classification of application programs stored in an application management table 107, to make resident the application program corresponding to the extended device 200 connected to the mobile terminal device 100 while its classification is detected by a device detecting means 104, and an application execution management means 108 executes the application program made resident by the application/resident switching means 101, to allow the extended device 200 to carry out processing.
