PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device and information processing method capable of balancing loads among the connected information processing devices via a network. SOLUTION: A data processing definition acquisition section 208 acquires a data processing definition from information received from an information receiving section 207. A status information acquisition section 209 acquires status information from the information received by the information receiving section 207. A processing data acquisition section 210 acquires processing data from the information received by the information receiving section 207. A resource information acquisition section 211 acquires resource information of the information processing device that is the information acquisition section self. A data processing determining section 212 determines data processings executable with a data processing execution section 213 on the basis of the resource information, data processing definition, and status information.
