摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a parameter in a motor model expression without computing two estimated magnetic pole positions and determine an exact estimated magnetic pole position using the motor model expression with the parameter corrected. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic pole position estimation unit 13 determines an estimated magnetic pole position of a synchronous motor 10 based on a motor model expression. Further, the estimation unit generates a harmonic voltage having a phase that agrees with the direction of the estimated magnetic pole position through a disturbance generation unit 17, and superposes it on a motor applied voltage. A compensation unit 18 corrects a q-axis inductance as a parameter in the model expression of the synchronous motor 10. This correction is carried out so that the phase difference between the harmonic voltage and a harmonic motor current generated by the harmonic voltage becomes substantially equal to zero. Thus, the q-axis inductance can be converged to a true value. The use of the motor model expression with the q-axis inductance corrected makes it possible to determine an exact magnetic pole position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
