<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor capable of suppressing deterioration of mechanical strength, and a light-emitting device capable of meeting demands of high output in recent years. <P>SOLUTION: The phosphor is provided with a base member 91 arranged on the light extracting side of an LED element 3 and made of a light transmissive material; and a phosphor layer 92 arranged on the light extracting side of the base member 91 and receiving a light to be emitted from the LED element 3 and excited to emit a wavelength conversion light. This configuration can reinforce the phosphor layer 92, and can suppress deterioration of mechanical strength of the phosphor plate 9 even if the thickness of the phosphor layer 92 is set at as small as possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
