<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of printing without causing reduction in a maximum speed of the image forming apparatus even if jobs are continuously input from one or a plurality of external apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: When one or more subsequent jobs are received between the time a first job is received and the time the execution of the job is started, it is determined whether the first job and the subsequent jobs can be joined into one job.
