FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fan production and can be used in the systems of thermal controllers incorporated with aircraft and rocket hardware, as well as in other engineering systems. The proposed radial blower comprises a housing with inner chamber between two face walls, a motor with impeller and a flange with intake manifold arranged in the opening aligned with the said impeller and made in the second face wall of the housing. The said opening diametre either exceeds or equals the impeller diametre. The proposed blower differs from known designs in that its flange features at least to radial flat ledges extending beyond the flange cylindrical surface in contact with the opening cylindrical surface. Aforesaid radial flat ledges have one of their surfaces, perpendicular to the flange axis, in contact with the flange second face wall outer surface. The latter has axially extending bosses, their number corresponding to that of aforesaid radial flat ledges. Note here that the bosses have a central bore aligned with aforesaid opening that features one end face touching the second end face wall outer surface. Note also that the bore width either equals or exceeds the radial flat ledge thickness, while its OD exceeds or equals the diametre of circle circumscribed around radial flat ledges. ^ EFFECT: higher reliability ensured by ruling out blower flange shift. ^ 4 dwg |
