GROUND IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for effectively displaying a ground image having a high degree of details. SOLUTION: A memory means 11 of a ground image display system stores; a plurality of first topographical file 21 including a first land surface image of a predetermined first degree of detail; and a plurality of second topographical file 21 including a second land surface image of a predetermined second degree of detail which is higher than the first degree of detail. A position information generation means 33 generates viewing position information. Display data generation means 36 and 57 generate ground image data obtained by combining the first land surface image and the second land surface image, by using the first topographical file 21 and the second topographical file 21 which are judged as within a view field based on the viewing point position information.
