PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow classifier capable of steplessly and continuously adjusting the height of a classification chamber even during the operation of the classifier. SOLUTION: The classifier comprises a skirt part 8 for forming a primary classification chamber 4 by a casing 2 between an outer circumferential part of a top face of a classifying plate 7 and itself, a cylindrical part 9 which forms a circumferential wall of a substantially cylindrical secondary classification chamber 6 having the small diameter concentrically with the primary classification chamber 4 with an upper end thereof closed, a top plate 5 which is arranged in the cylindrical part 9 to constitute a ceiling of the secondary classification chamber 6, and a moving means for vertically moving the top plate 5. The moving means comprises a cylindrical guide part 10a formed on a lid 10 of the cylindrical part 9, a female screw part 5a penetrated through the lid 10 from a center of the top plate 5 and inserted in the cylindrical guide part 10a, a handle 12 having a male screw part 12a engaged with the female screw part 5a, and rotation preventive means 10b, 11 for preventing the rotation of the female screw part 5a when rotating the handle 12 and vertically moving the top plate 5 by the rotation of the handle 12.
