PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration apparatus capable of discharging a gas accumulated at an inner side of a filter element and efficiently discharging a liquid at the inner side of the filter element. SOLUTION: The filtration apparatus 10 is provided with a vent valve device 50 provided with a body 51 and a plug 60. The body 51 has a first opening 51a opened to an outer side of a housing 20, a second opening 51b communicating with the inner side 42a of the filter element 40, a passage part 51c communicating with the first opening 51a and the second opening 51b, and a third opening 56 communicating with a space B between the filter element 40 and the housing 20 and the passage part 51c. The plug 60 is stored in the passage part 51c and is movable between a first position P1 where gases G1, G2 in the housing 20 are not discharged and a second position P2 where the gas in the housing 20 is discharged.
