PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel aiming at the improvement of casting performance of fishing line and also capable of maintaining a good casting performance in high accuracy. SOLUTION: This fishing reel is provided by installing a multiple number of dimples on a fishing line-winding drum part of the fishing reel which is e.g. provided by making its spool supported as freely rotatable at the reel main body and rotatable by driving with a handle attached at a side plate of the reel main body and also housing at least a part of functioning members in a recessed part installed at the inside and in the diameter direction of the fishing line-winding drum part.
