The invention relates to a cylinder lock (1) comprising a cylinder core (2) and a housing (3) in which spring-loaded locking pins that encompass housing pins (4) and cylinder core pins (5) are provided for scanning countersunk indentations (12) located on the key (11). A radially movable small core plate (10, 10') which is controlled in a slot of the cylinder core (2) by the key (11) and whose position keeps the housing pin (4) separated once the cylinder core (2) has been twisted if the correct key (11) is used is provided on the plane of rotation (6) of at least one of the locking pins. The invention further relates to a flat key that matches the cylinder lock.
