In order to establish a therapeutic method using an adult stem cell, it is intended to provide a technique of isolating and identifying an adult stem cell and an animal model with which a function of a stem cell is easily evaluated. The invention provides DNA having an activity of a stem cell-specific promoter, a vector containing the DNA, or a transgenic non-human mammal or transformed cell containing the vector.
