<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map mobile device capable of surely moving a desired map by a simple input operation without continuously making the operation in moving a map screen display region. <P>SOLUTION: An operation direction, an operation position, an operation speed, etc., are detected from the input operation that a user carries out with respect to the map screen display region and the shape thereof is recognized in a map screen display region input operation shape recognition section 7. The data of nearly the same shape is extracted by using a matching technology from the recognized input shape and the polygon data 21 in the map display data 20 in an input operation shape same polygon figure recognition section 8. If the data of nearly the same shape exists, the class of the polygon is identified, and if the the polygon class is linear, the movement of the map is continued by making U turn upon arrival of the movement of the map at the end and if the polygon class is annular, the movement of the map is cyclically continued in a polygon class corresponding form selection section 15.
