PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat disorders or diseases accompanying with the decrease or deletion of hyaluronic acid, and also to establish a method for treating patent actus arteriosus more physiologically and having less adverse effects as compared with conventional ones.

SOLUTION: This medicinal composition comprises a DNA encoding hyaluronic acid synthase, and a tunica intima tylosis-accelerating agent comprises the DNA encoding the hyaluronic acid synthase.
