<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera with a cooling control function, which provides a small power consumption and a high quality image. <P>SOLUTION: A system controller 6 determines whether the system controller 6 operates a pulse driving pulse generator 42 or a variable resistor setting D/A converter 43 according to a drive mode of an imaging means 1. When the electronic camera is operated in a state of requiring no image quality priority such as an image monitoring mode or a focus mode, the controller 6 activates the pulse driving pulse generator 42 consuming a small power consumption, and when the electronic camera is activated in a state requiring the image quality priority such as an image recording mode, the controller 6 drives the variable resistor setting D/A converter 43 having few noises. Since a user of the electronic camera keeps the imaging means 1 in a cooling state of the small power consumption at all times, the user can photograph a desired image with high image quality in a preferred timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
