<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current sensor, though being compact, capable of stably and accurately measuring larger current to be detected. <P>SOLUTION: This current sensor 10 has a conductor 4 comprising a pair of parallel sections 41A and 41B that have an equivalent and constant cross section and extend so as to be mutually parallel at a first distance ΔY1, a connecting section 42 for interconnecting one ends of them, and a pair of terminal sections 43A and 43B that are connected with the other ends of the parallel sections 41A and 41B, extend oppositely at a second distance ΔY2 longer than the first distance ΔY1, and have cross sections larger than those of the parallel sections 41A and 41B. Using MR elements 1A and 1B arranged near the parallel sections 41A and 41B, the current sensor, though it is compact, can stably and accurately measure current magnetic field Hm generated by the current Im to be detected flowing in the conductor 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
