PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type disposable diaper having a soft external surface, and having a favorable texture, superior fitting property and air permeability. SOLUTION: This pants-type disposable diaper is provided with an absorbent body 10 including an absorbent core 4, and an external wrapper material 11 disposed on a skin non-abutment face side of the absorbent body 10 and fixing the absorbent body 10; and is formed with a pair of side seal parts, a waist opening part and a pair of leg opening parts by joining both edge portions of a belly side A and a back side B in the outer wrapper material 11 together. The outer wrapper material 11 has a structure of superposing two strechable sheets 12 and 13, at least one of the two strechable sheets has elasticity, and most of parts between the two stretchable sheets 12 and 13 in the belly side A and the back side B are not joined together excluding the respective circumferential edges 50 and 60 of the side seal parts A1, A2, B1 and B2, the waist opening part, and the leg opening parts.
