It is important to act and react quickly specifically in boxing or fencing. The new design of a punching bag (1) is enveloped by two belts (5) fitted with sensor elements (3) and light emitting diodes (2). The position of the belts (5) can be adjusted as required. A computer program activates the lights (2) in order to instigate a particular reaction of the user. The impact on the bag (1) is measured by sensors (3) and can be saved (6) for a later evaluation.
