PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner and an image forming apparatus which prevent faulty transfer in a literal or linear image, particularly so-called void generation by which an untransferred region occurs in a literal or linear image and toner spattering in transfer to the periphery of an image part. SOLUTION: When an average of nonelectrostatic adhesion not caused by charge of the toner in adhesion acting between the toner and a photoreceptor measured by a centrifugation method is expressed by Fne [nN], a proportionality coefficient K of a primary regression line in a graph plotted with toner particle diameter D [μm] as abscissa and Fne as ordinate is 5-30 [nN/μm], and when a dual-cleavable cell of 15 [mm] diameter for Aggrobot by Hosokawa Micron Corp. is filled with the toner and tensile break power required to cleave the cell when applying compressive load in a range of 5-50 [kg] is measured, a proportionality coefficient L of a primary regression line in a graph plotted with compressive load as abscissa and tensile break power as ordinate is ≤0.3×10<SP>-3</SP>.
