A frequency tunable filter is provided to secure a wide tuning range by controlling the insertion depth of a tuning element. A plurality of cavities(408) are defined in a housing(400) by partitions. A sub cover(406) is combined in the upper part of the housing. A guide groove is formed in the sub cover. At least one sliding member(404) is installed in the guide groove. A main cover(402) is coupled in the upper part of the sub cover. A resonator(410) is received in the cavity. At least one tuning element is coupled in the lower part of the sliding member. The tuning element is made of the dielectric material. The first guide member is coupled in at least one side of the sliding member to guide the sliding operation of the sliding member.
