A slide module for a portable terminal which prevents movement in the left and right directions by using the projection for prevention of free movement is provided to minimize the movement in the left and right directions and allow the thickness of the slide module thin. A middle plate(20) is combined in order to be slid to a fixed plate(10). A moving plate(30) is fixed to the bottom surface of the middle plate. A guide unit is formed in the side of the movable plate. The width of the movable plate is bigger than the width of the fixing plate. The guide unit comprises first projection for prevention of free movement. The first projection for prevention of free move selectively contacts to the outer side surface of the fixing plate in the movement of the movable plate.
