A process for the preparation of substance with potential physiological properties 1,1-diethylcarboxy-2-trifluoromethyl ethylene involves reaction of acetylation of malonic acid ester with trifluoroacetic anhydride (trifluoroacetic acid) in the presence of sodium methylate with following treatment of the first stage reaction product with phosphoruspentachloride in dichloroethane.
