A circuit and a method for resetting a plasma display panel (PDP) are provided. The circuit resets at least one display unit 540 in the PDP at a resetting period. The circuit comprises at least one energy recovery circuit (ERC) 510 or 560. In a first period of the resetting period, the energy recovery circuit provides discharge energy to a first terminal of the display unit by means of resonance. Meanwhile, a second terminal of the display unit is electrically connected to a first fixed voltage, preferably ground voltage. Preferably the resonance is obtained through a serially connected inductor-capacitor system. |
