<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for a side ditch with a boundary block, and its construction method, which enable the side ditch and the boundary block between a sidewalk and a roadway to be separately preformed in a factory, which enable the boundary block between the sidewalk and the roadway to be accurately and smoothly applied to the block for the side ditch on a job site, and which enable the easy replacement of only the boundary block between the sidewalk and the roadway. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this approximate rectangular parallelepiped columnar block for the side ditch, a hollow passage is provided in the direction of an axial center; a slit is formed in the direction of the axial center on a top surface portion; and the boundary block between the sidewalk and the roadway, which is formed of a separate member, can be mounted in a prescribed position on the top surface portion. A plurality of female screw portions are provided at spacings on the top surface portion; a plurality of erected male screw rods screwed into the plurality of female screw portions also serve as positioning members; a nut member is screwed and fastened for the mounting of the boundary block between the sidewalk and the roadway; and the mounting top surface portion after the mounting of the boundary block between the sidewalk and the roadway is covered with a separable covering material.
