PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of achieving high-speed control of a relay device, with the reduction of a packet memory use capacity for storing a control packet.SOLUTION: A relay device includes a function mounting unit and a transfer unit. The function mounting unit includes a first control unit and a first storage unit, whereas the transfer unit includes a second control unit and a second storage unit. The first storage unit stores, as a list, a plurality of types of control packets to cope with a plurality of control states associated with a function. The second storage unit stores setting information associated with each control state. According to the control state, the first control unit reads out a set of a plurality of control packets from the list in the first storage unit, to transmit to the second control unit. The second control unit rewrites the setting information in the second storage unit, according to the plurality of control packets in the set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
