The invention relates to the metallurgy and can be used for production of sheet rolled products. An edge winder contains a welded working chamber, which is rigidly mounted on the foundation and contains vertical cheeks coated by removable hardened disks. From above vertical cheeks have vertical grooves for displacement of the cushions of the axle of pressing roll, on the edges of which are mounted the ends of the levers built-up from other side to the common shaft connected with lever with hydraulic cylinder of the lift of pressing roll. It also contains a plate with guides, driving head with spindle, which is connected with hydraulic cylinder. In accordance with the invention, driving head is made in the form of a frame with bearing supports mounted on it, on one of which the hydraulic motor is fixed which is connected with the end of the spindle, which is passed inside one of the bearing supports. The invention ensures reduction of metal content, increase of productivity and guarantee of compactness of design.
