A powder wire for liquid cast-iron treatment in the ladle, in which as a passivator the molten slag mixture with the content of CaO 50.0 wt. %, Si2 16 wt. % and basicity of (Ca/Si2) 3.5, at that the ratio between the magnesium and the molten slag mixture is of (0.15...1.15) :1, and the ratio between the magnesium content in the filling agent of wire is in the range of (0.31...1.85) :1.
